A group of 16 bikers, all Harley Davidson owners, who had embarked on an adventurous trip to Pushkar have successfully returned back to Delhi. The rally organized by Born2Ride, commenced from New Delhi last Friday. Born2Ride was initiated about two months ago and already has 30 members. The only prerequisite to become a member of Born2Ride is that one must possess a Harley which is available in India with a starting price Rs.5 lakhs.
Other perquisites required to join the club include, a riding suit, riding boots, riding gloves, helmet, etc. All these accessories will set you back by anything from Rs.50,000 to 2,00,000. Among the 16 Harley Davidson bikes which had taken part in the Delhi Pushkar bike trip, include a Harley Davidson CVO which costs Rs.37 lakhs, a Street Glide for Rs. 27 lakhs and Road King for Rs. 25 lakhs.
Family members of the riders had also taken part in the trip, as they accompanied bikers on four wheelers. The trip was supported by Capital Harley, which also provided two official Harley Davidson mechanics for the Pushkar trip. The 16 member riding group took off at 7.30 am on Friday from the capital and covered a distance of 460 kms to reach Pushkar by evening the same day. The tour took pit-stops at Ajmer and Jaipur on their way back to Delhi on Sunday.
