Harley-Davidson Street 750 Pune dealership reports 100 bookings in 5 weeks of launch


Harley Davidson Street 750 cruiser showcased at India Bike Week in Goa in January and launched at the 2014 Auto Expo in February, is open for booking in India at a price of INR 4.10 lakhs (ex sh Delhi).

The Two Rivers Harley-Davidson showroom has received about 100 bookings for Harley Davidson Street 750. A booking as of today warrants delivery in September. And that’s just the speed at which Street 750 is selling at a single dealership. At present, Harley-Davidson India operates through 13 dealers here.

Harley_Davidson_Street_750Harley Davidson Street 750 is based on a new platform and uses a Liquid-cooled Revolution X , V-Twin engine with displacement of 46 The 6-speed constant mesh spur gear transmission returns 53 hp max power and max torque of 65 Nm @ 4000.

Street 750 sports a cruiser front end with trademark round headlamps, a circular instrument pod and a speedometer that calibrates in kmph. Sporting an elongated fuel tank the Street 750 has acceleration to 110 kmph in double quick time and top speed of 150 kmph while fuel economy stands at 20 kmpl. Sitting on a 1511 mm long wheelbase and seating as comfortable as armchairs, the new Harley Davidson Street 750 sits on 7 spoke alloy trims, telescopic fort front suspension and dual rear shock absorbers with rectangular section steel swingarm.

Street 750 measures 2226 mm in length, 815 mm in width and 709 mm in height and receives enhanced ground clearance of 144mm. It is fitted with MRF Zapper tyres both at front and rear while braking comes from two ventilated discs at both ends. Seen as a value for money product, Street 750 is available at a price of Rs 4.17 lakhs (ex sh Pune) and on road of Rs 4.64 lakhs (on road price). Booking is open with a down payment of INR 30,000 and the balance paid through installments while delivery period is varied.
