Bajaj Avenger based chopper is 450 kgs and 13 foot long – India’s heaviest and longest motorcycle

Zakir Khan, 29, an interior designer based in Bengaluru, has designed the longest chopper bike in India. This 13 foot long bike, which took 45 days to create, caused a stir when it went on display on 14th and 15th July at Durga Parameshwari BDA grounds at the Auto Show in Bengaluru.

Zakir invested Rs 7.5 lakhs in this venture. The 13 foot long chopper bike is sourced from a Bajaj Avenger 220 and is intended to create a record. This is Zakir’s third chopper bike design which has been designed.

The engine of Bajaj Avenger 220 has also been customized to suit this chopper bike and re-tuned to offer higher power and torque. The front shock absorber is 6 feet long while the bike sports a massive headlamp and emits a thunderous sound.

Fuel tank is of 50 liter capacity offering mileage of 7 kmpl with a top speed of 120 kmph. The total weight is at 450 kgs. The front wheel sports the same dimensions as a Royal Enfield 500cc bike’s rear wheel while the bike’s twin exhaust is placed beside the fuel tank.

Though Zakir has promised to make this chopper for bike for those interested in purchasing one, it may be remembered the motorcycle is not street legal and liable to be seized by the authorities.

Such customized bikes are gaining in importance in the country with buyers engaging in it as a profession and hobby. These bikes are to be ridden on private roads and at auto shows and such other events as the modifications are against Central Motor Vehicle Regulations.
