Helmet Safety Ride in Bangalore, 1200 bikers head to Cubbon Park
To be held at Cubbon Park from 10 am to 2 pm, more than 1,200 bikers will support the cause by riding for about 15 to 20 km across the city to raise awareness on helmet usage, and road safety. Pillion riders will carry placards with slogans pertaining to helmet use, and safety measures.
Winfred, a participant sponsored by FirstRide will attempt to solve a minimum of 30 Rubik’s cubes (3X3X3) while riding his bicycle without a break, a feat which if it stands in good stead will be his attempt to enter India Book of Records. He will soon attempt a Guinness world record at Test Drive Festival 2014, Bangalore.
Vijay Kumar Reddy ,CEO, FirstRide spoke of the company’s mission to enhance riding and driving experience on Indian roads. The next level would be to head out to other cities. With focus on making the driving/riding experience in India safer and better, educating people on road safety is part of its CSR activity, helping it go beyond ownership of a vehicle.
M.N.B.R. Prasad DCP (East – Traffic), Ramesh Babu the billionaire barber with a Rolls Royce, NRSO President Satya Paul, and M Srinivas (Moto port Seena) will be in attendance. Veteran biker, and senior member of RD350 club, R Chakravarthy, and Roshni Sharma, India’s first female rider to ride solo from Kanyakumari to Leh on a motorbike will attend. Helmet Safety Ride too is on the lookout for a place in India Book of Records for highest number of participants for a social cause. The record is held by of 1,180 bikers participating in a rally. Post the ride, biker clubs will be honoured with Certificates of Participation.
