Hennessey Venom F5 makes global debut – Claims 484 kmph top speed

Venom F5 has made global debut. Claiming to be the fastest car on the road in the world today, Hennessey claims that their new Venom F5 is much faster than the Bugatti Chiron. For this, the company has fashioned the car in a new design with carbon fiber body and other parts in lightweight material, which has helped the car in achieving such high top speed.

Limited to just 24 units, each of these Venom F5 cars will be built at a cost of $1.6 million. Hennessey Venom F5 is designed from the ground up by the American brand. It is built by Hennessey in association with Shell and Pennzoil.

The car boasts of drag coefficient of just 0.33 and aims at being the fastest car on the road. Hennessey Venom F5, named after the most powerful tornado speed winds on the Fujita scale, will come in powered by a new 7.4 liter aluminum bi-turbo V8, twin turbo engine offering 1600 hp power and 1300 lb/ft torque mated to a 7 speed single clutch paddle shift transmission sending power to rear tyres. Acceleration from 0 to 300 kmph is achieved in less than 10 seconds and 0 to 400 kmph in less than 30 seconds. Quicker than most of the F1 race cars, the Venom F5 can achieve a top speed of over 482 kmph as it rides on a set of Michelin Pilot Cup 2 tyres.

The interiors of Hennessey Venom F5 is done up in quality leather with carbon fiber and Alcantara. It gets an Apple iPad interface and is spacious enough to comfortably seat a six foot six inch football player who could well be on if its first owners.

Limited to just 24 units, the Venom F5 is being built at Hennessey’s Sealy, Texas plant. Buyer aspiring to own one of these examples will have to apply of the same and be approved by John Hennessey himself before the car is delivered. Besides the Venom F5, Hennessey is also showcasing the Hennessey VelociRaptor 6X6 and Exorcist, based on 2018 Chevrolet Camaro ZL at SEMA Show.
