Hero MotoCorp detailed their new Maestro Edge and Duet 125 cc scooters at Auto Expo 2018 both of which are based on the 110cc versions of the respective scooters. However, to enhanced features, tweaked engines and fresh color schemes have been added to the two bikes, both of which have been developed at the Hero MotoCorp Centre of Innovation and Technology (CIT) in Jaipur.
Hero Duet 125 and Hero Maestro Edge 125 continue with a similar design as seen on the 110cc versions with cosmetic updates giving these two scooters a touch of class.
These features include a new digital display system with analog instrument console and idle start stop (i3S system), making these the first scooters in its class to be seen with this feature. Other features include a side stand indicator, service reminder and pass switch besides an external fuel filling system.
Engine specification for both the models include the same 125cc Single Energy Cylinder Boost engine offering 8.7 bhp power at 6,750 rpm and 10.2 Nm torque at 5,000 rpm.
It comes in with options such as front disc brake and Integrated Braking System. Once officially launched in the country, the Hero Duet 125 will compete with the Honda Activa 125 and Suzuki Access 125, while Maestro Edge 125 will compete with the likes of Honda Grazia and TVS NTorq 125.
