Hero Duet scooter is all set to be unveiled on September 29 but we already have the details, thanks to a brochure leak. The 110 cc automatic scooter will be launching alongside its closely related sibling, the Hero Maestro Edge.
As far as the styling goes, the unisex scooter borrows a leaf out of the Honda Activa’s book. The Duet measures 1,830 mm in length, 725 mm in width, 1,140 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 1240 mm (interestingly the top-end VX variant has a 5 mm longer wheelbase). The scooter tips the scales at 116 kg.
Power comes from a 110.9 cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine which is mated to a CVT to push out 8.43 PS at 8,000 rpm and 8.30 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm.
The scooter is available in two trim levels – LX and VX. Salient features include a metal body, telescopic front fork, tubeless tyres, Integrated Braking (front brake are applied proportionately even if the rider applies only the rear brake), external fuel filler cap with buzzer, semi-digital instrument console with service remainder, mobile charging USB port, underseat storage compartment lamp, combination lock and luggage hook at front and rear.
The scooter will be available in six color options – Panther Black Metallic, Nature Green Metallic, Matt Vernier Grey, Grace Grey Metallic, Candy Blazing Red and Pearl Silver White.
