Hero Hunk facelift has been spotted testing without any camouflage, signalling an imminent launch. The 150 cc sporty motorcycle would receive mild power and cosmetic upgrades.
Hero has played safe with the design revision. Save for a subtly tweaked front fender, there is no noticeable change in shape. New decals on the bikini fairing, fuel tank and tailpiece attempt to render a fresh appeal to the muscular motorcycle.
Hunk facelift also receives a new instrument console with analog tachometer and digital speedo/odo meter. Closer observation reveals side stand indicator and new handlebar clamp with Hero logo.
The 149 cc single-cylinder air-cooled carbureted engine is expected to benefit from a mild power boost as in the case of Xtreme Sports. The motor is likely to produce 15.2 hp and 13.5 Nm of torque when mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
The motorcycle continues to be suspended by conventional front telescopic fork and rear gas charged twin coil spring suspension system. Top-end variant will come with a rear disc brake as well.
Hero Hunk facelift will take on popular Suzuki Gixxer and Yamaha FZ FI V2.0 series when it goes on sale in a few weeks’ time. Expect a nominal hike in the pricing.
