Hero HX250R production version to debut at Auto Expo

Hero MotoCorp promises to display a range of new products at the upcoming Auto Expo next week. The highlight of their pavilion will be the HX250R in production ready guise.

Developed in association with Erik Buell Racing (EBR), a company which is now defunct, Hero HX250R aims to set a new benchmark in the segment. The concept which they displayed at the previous Auto Expo, claimed to be powered by a 249cc single-cylinder, liquid cooled engine which claims to deliver 31 bhp and 26 Nm of torque via a 6 speed gearbox. Weighing 136 kg, Hero claims HX250R to do a 0-60 kmph in just 2.7 seconds.

Other features on offer with the new Hero HX250R includes dual projector headlamps with LED DRLs, LED taillamps, stylish alloys, black paint finish on the engine, under seat exhaust, mono-shock rear suspension, and a digital speedometer. Segment first features include dual riding modes – City and Sport.

Offered with dual channel ABS, Hero HX250R is expected to take on the likes of Benelli TNT25, Bajaj Pulsar RS200, KTM Duke 200 and the likes. Expect the price of HX250R to start at about INR 1.50 lakh.

Apart from the HX250R, Hero MotoCorp will also showcase production ready variants of their Zir, Dare and Super Splendor iSmart. Hero will also showcase from future ready concepts at the show.
