Following success of online sales with Snapdeal, Hero MotoCorp has opened online sales on company website offering buyers comparisons and wider choice of products.

Hero MotoCorp has opened online bookings of its two wheeler range on company website. By opening online bookings on company website, Hero MotoCorp wishes to see similar results as was seen through online tie up with Snapdeal which has brought in bookings to the extent of 5,20,000 units since December 2014.

Hero MotoCorp has planned special customer awareness of online sales through social media platforms and via dealer activation programs.

The buyer will be able to have access to the entire range of Hero bikes on the company’s online portal which would not otherwise be feasible at company showrooms. Bookings can be done on the company website on payment of INR 5,000 after which deliveries and other formalities will be effected by company dealers in the area.

Online booking of two wheelers has gained in importance over the past two years. Piaggio announced sales of Vespa scooters through Snapdeal in May 2015. Suzuki Motorcycles also entered into an alliance with Snapdeal in November 2015 for sales of their entire range.
