Hero Splendor, HF Deluxe, Maestro – Home delivery of scooter, motorcycles

Hero MotoCorp has begun home delivery of its two-wheelers at a nominal fee. You can now buy your favourite Hero motorcycle or scooter, from Splendor to HF Deluxe to Maestro scooter online, and get home delivery. At present the service has been introduced in three cities – Bombay, Bangalore, and Noida. The service will be scaled in a phase manner to include 25 cities over the next few months.

Home delivery of its two wheelers can be availed by visiting Hero MotoCorp’s e-commerce portal (https://www.hgpmart.com). This eliminates the need to have to visit a dealership to confirm bookings, and make payments.

Popular tales point to Hero MotoCorp selling one out of every two motorcycles in India. That’s a large volume that needs to be dispensed in quick time on a continuous basis. With home delivery, Hero MotoCorp has developed a simple booking and delivery process. This helps the brand create a new online property, and tap into some of the buzz and convenience, only the online world can conjure.

Booking to delivery can be completed in three easy steps. Once a customer log in, they need to choose a bike, and choose a dealer. The customer then makes an online payment, that’s the booking amount to the dealership selected.

Next, Hero’s third-party service provider will visit the customer’s home/office address at the desired time slot to collect necessary documents. As is procedure, once the vehicle is registered with the local road transport office, it will be delivered.

For Hero customers who wish to partake in the convenience, there’s a fee of 349 bucks to avail the service. Hero MotoCorp has previously dabbled with the online space through a partnership to sell its bikes through online channels.

In 2018, the brand got its two-wheeler spare-parts’ online retail property onboard, a shift from online booking of Hero products, which was earlier carried out on the main website. The Hero online selling portal has since last year already dispensed 400 booking orders. Now, their focus will include sales of two-wheelers too.

Sanjay Bhan, Head of Sales, Aftersales & Parts Business, Hero MotoCorp, said, “At Hero MotoCorp we continuously invest in developing innovative processes and business models to ensure our customers get the best in class experience. Our new initiative will raise the bar for customer experience in the two-wheeler category. As the youth of today
increasingly look for value-added services in every purchase that they make, brands have to step-up their strategic thinking to stay ahead of the curve in a rapidly evolving market environment.”
