Hero MotoCorp sales break up Aug 2019 – Splendor, HF Deluxe lead

August 2019 hasn’t been kind to Hero Motocorp. The manufacturer has lost 20.82 percent sales volume reporting sales at 5,24,003 units, down from 6,61,759 units sold a year earlier. MoM sales growth is reported at 2.47 percent, up from 5,11,374 units sold in July 2019.

Hero Splendor remains on top of the ladder at 2,12,839 units sold, down from 2,47,116 units sold in August 2018, down 13.87 percent. MoM growth stands at 18.97 percent, up from 1,78,907 units sold in July 2019.

HF Deluxe sales decline is reported at 12.54 percent. Sales is down to 1,60,684 units, down from 1,83,716 units. MoM sales decline stands at 5.27 percent, down from 1,69,632 units sold a month earlier. The aforementioned bikes being the brand’s bestsellers are sold in lakhs, whereas the rest of its product lineup sells in smaller volumes.

Hero Glamour sales is down 18.07 percent to 60,706 units, down from 74,097 units sold in Aug ’18. MoM sales decline stands at 14.69 percent, down from 71,160 units sold in July of 2019.

Hero Passion sales has halved at 50.22 percent sales decline at 41,157 units, down from 82,681 units sold in August 2018. MoM sales decline of 5.25 percent sees sales down from 43,439 units in July 2019. With Glamour and Passion sales accounting to just over 1 lakh units, the remainder of the brand lineup accounts for 50k odd units sold.

Pleasure sales decline of 8.95 units sees sales down to 16,308 units from 17,912 units sold a year earlier. MoM sales decline is reported at 7.49 percent following 17,629 units sold the month earlier. Maestro sales has dwindled by more than half. At 59.85 sales decline, sales decline, volume is down to 12,724 units from 31,691 units sold in August 2018. MoM sales has gained 6.73 percent, up from 11,922 units sold the month prior.

Hero Destini sales is reported at 9,735 units. MoM sales is reported at 12.75 percent decline, down from 11,158 units sold the month earlier. Pretty much a new kid on the block, XPulse 200 sales is reported at 3,734 units. MoM sales gain stands at 47.59 percent, up from 2,530 units sold a month earlier.

Duet sales decline is the sharpest at 83.66 percent. Sales is down to a mere 3,600 units from 22,036 units sold a year earlier. Mom sales growth is reported at 21.01 percent, up from 2,975 units sold in July 2019.

Xtreme 150 is the only bike to report sales growth. At 143.52 percent growth, sales is up to 2,087 units from the 857 units sold a year earlier. MOM gain is reported at 30.76 percent, up from 1,596 units. Extreme sales volume is the least at 429. This comes on the back of 74.05 percent sales decline, down from 1,653 units sold a month earlier. MoM sales variation is negligible at 426 units sold a month earlier.
