2012 London Olympics Hockey qualifiers to be sponsored by World’s largest two wheeler manufacturer – Hero MotoCorp

Hero MotoCorp has once again proved that they support the National Sport of India. Earlier today, Hero MotoCorp announced that they will be sponsoring the 2012 Olympics Hockey qualifiers, which are scheduled to take place from the 18th to 26th February in New Delhi at Dhyanchand Hockey National Stadium.

In the Men’s Hockey qualifiers, Indian team will have to compete against France, Canada, Singapore, Poland and Italy. In the Women’s Hockey qualifiers, Indian team will have to fight it out against Ukraine, Poland, Italy, Canada and South Africa.

These teams will then compete each other in a round robin format. After which the first and second placed team from both Men’s and Women’s respectively, will compete for the top spot. Winner of which will be promoted to play in the 2012 London Olympics. All Olympic qualifying matches will be shown LIVE on Ten Sports.
