Hero Splendor iSmart with i3S (Idle Start and Stop System) has been introduced at 2016 Auto Expo. The technology which debuted on exisiting Splendor iSmart would now be available on its morepowerful 110 cc variant, making the 110 cc Hero Splendor commuter more fuel efficient and environment friendly.
Save for the new body graphics and color themes, the Splendor iSmart continues to retain the regular model’s design. We expect the company to introduce the iSmart technology to more of its models in the immediate future.
The new Splendor iSmart is powered by Hero’s all-new 110 cc air-cooled single-cylinder four-stroke engine, which is developed in India by their R&D. Mated to a 4-speed gearbox, the motor generates 9.1 PS at 7,500 rpm and 9 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm.
The bike is supported by a conventional tubular double cradle frame which employs telescopic front forks and twin rear coil spring shock absorbers. The alloy wheels are retarded by drum brakes. Front disc is not available even as an option.
