Speaking to dealers across the country, Hero is prepping them for launch and related activities, while Splendor Pro Classic bikes have not been dispatched to them yet. We recently learned that Hero is launching 3 bikes in 45 days, according to the timeline, Splendor Pro Classic will be out this month; dealers suggest bike will arrive next week.
New Splendor Pro Classic has a charm that will not only attract crowd in rural markets, but will also rope in those in urban space who wish to buy an exclusive bike on a budget. Retro round headlamps, extending orange indicators, customary fuel tnk & side cowl, spoke wheels, chrome finish on side mirror, silencer can, mud guards and such, split looking handlebars and bulge at rear end make the Splendor Pro Classic very desirable.
Hero Splendor Pro Classic is powered by same single cylinder 97.2cc air cooled engine seen in Hero Splendor Pro. It produces 7.8 PS maximum power @ 7,500 rpm and 8.04 Nm peak torque @ 4,500 rpm, mated to 4-speed constant mesh gearbox.
Price of Hero Splendor Pro Classic is not revealed by the company yet, we expect it to be pricier than Splendor Pro. While latter is priced in the range of Rs. 44,150 to Rs. 47,750 (ex-showroom Delhi), We expect Splendor Pro Classic to be priced at about Rs. 1,000 to Rs. 2,000 upwards. For those who dig cafe racer look, this is the most affordable option other than Royal Enfield Continental GT which is priced at Rs. 1.89 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi). Coming to think of it, Hero Splendor Pro Classic will be the least expensive cafe racer bike ever.
