Hero to bring in slew of bikes in March

Hero MotoCorp, India’s largest two wheeler manufacturers is keen to enhance market share with a host of new produced all slated for launch during the month of March 2014. These are the same two wheelers which they have showcased in the last six months and will will include the new Karizma, ZMR, Pleasure and Xtreme.

Hero Karizma R and Karizma ZMR receive a facelift design and engine inputs from technology partner EBR. Karizma R is a semi faired version while ZMR will be a fully faired variant, but both will receive the same 223 cc engine which has been doing duty on board the Karizma ever since 2003. Karizma R engine will offer peak power output of 19.2 bhp and peak torque of 19.35 Nm while the engine of Karizma ZMR will be tweaked to offer marginally higher power output of 20 bhp and higher torque of 19.7 Nm due to fuel injection.

Hero to bring in slew of bikes in MarchNew Hero Xtreme will be more attractive as against the outgoing version. It will also feature an electronic immobilizer and side stand switch for auto engine cut off. Xtreme would be seen in five colour options to include black, red, silver, black-red and orange. Apart from this, there is also the Xtreme Sport which will be launched at a later date. It will get enhanced power output of 15.2 bhp and peak torque of 14.4 Nm.

2014 Hero Pleasure will be seen in two versions, Standard and Special Edition and fitted with integrated braking system, side stand indicator and mobile charging sockets. Mechanics stay the same in the form of 102cc engine producing 6.74 hp power at 7000 rpm and 7.85 Nm torque at 5000 rpm.
