Hero MotoCorp says Xpulse got positive feedback – Will be launched in future

At the 2017 EICMA show in Milan, India’s largest two wheeler manufacturer, Hero had showcased a new adventure motorcycle concept called the Xpulse. It is an entry level adventure motorcycle which was showcased as a concept.

Now, in an interview with Times of India, Hero has revealed that they are happy with the response the concept has received. Hero says – “The xPulse has received big, positive feedback which will further enhance our efforts to make it happen. The xPulse, as a concept, happened not just by chance but for a purpose.”

Not much has been revealed about the motorcycle. Hero says – “Xpulse Concept provides a glimpse into Hero’s plans to expand further.” Hero XPulse is reportedly powered by a 200 cc engine and featured 21 inch tyres in the front and 18 inch at the rear.

The Xpulse concept seen at EICMA, is a full adventure bike. It comes with off-road tyres, long suspension travel telescopic forks in the front, mono shock at the rear, disc brakes with ABS, panniers, engine cover, crash guards, LED headlamps with LED fog lights on the crash guards, digital instrument console, and LED tail lamps. Nothing has been revealed about the engine. We believe it could be a 200 cc single cylinder engine, delivering about 18 PS and 17 Nm mated to a five speed gearbox.

Mr. Pawan Munjal, Chairman, M anaging Director and Chief Executive Officer, Hero MotoCorp, said, “Hero MotoCorp has over the recent years, rapidly expanded its global footprint and is present in 35 countries, with manufacturing facilities in three countries. We are constantly developing Concepts for the future – keeping in mind global trends and customer aspirations. I am sure the Adventure Concept motorcycle XPulse gives you a directional guidance on the path that Hero is going to ride on in the future. We created this segment in India a few years ago and we feel it is about time that we start conceptualizing some new thoughts and ideas in this space. And in keeping with the rising global stature of Brand Hero, we are creating such Concepts not just with the Indian user in mind, but also with a focus on the evolved global markets.

”We are also pleased with our motorsport team, which in its debut season made a mark in rallies across continents last year. The team is now ready for Dakar 2018. We are also taking our learning and experience from motor sports to develop new concepts and products for our customers.”
