The Hero Xtreme 200 S compact sportsbike which was unveiled last week at the 2016 Auto Expo has been detailed in an official video. The Apache RTR 200 4V rival is expected to go on sale later in the year.
Styling wise, the Xtreme 200 S is an edgier version of the existing 150 cc model. The motorcycle dons sporty tank extensions, familiar bikini fairing with LED pilot lamps, digi-analog instrument console, thin contoured seat, sharp edged tailpiece with LED taillight, belly pan in air vents and a simple silencer with silver guard. The white-red-black color theme feels a bit overdone though.
Power comes from a new 200 cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine which generates 18.5 PS power at 8,500 rpm and 17.2 Nm torque at 6,000 rpm. Transmission is a 5-speed unit.
The Xtreme 200 S is equipped with regular telescopic fork at the front while the rear gets monoshock suspension system. Both wheels are retarded by a disc brake each. The motorcycle also benefits from ABS.
