Hero MotoCorp has launched the new Xtreme 200R in India. It was earlier showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo and deliveries have also commenced across North Eastern states. It comes in with a host of sporty features and at an affordable pricing so as to take on competitors in its class.
Hero Xtreme 200R is priced at Rs 89,900 which makes it the most affordable 200cc motorcycle on sale in India. At this pricing, it competes with the Bajaj Pulsar NS 200 priced at Rs 1.04 lakhs. All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.
Hero Xtreme 200R is seen with a single piece handlebar, sharp headlamp design, sculpted fuel tank and aerodynamic shrouds. It gets LED head and tail lamps, a semi digital instrument cluster with analog tachometer and dual tone seats.
Other features include rear tyre hugger, front and rear disc brakes, ABS and engine cowl. It gets a 12.4 liter fuel tank capacity and commands kerb weight of 146 kgs. Its 17” alloy wheels painted red and black re fitted with 100/80 section tyre front and 130/70 section radial tyre at the rear with performance tread pattern.
Braking is via 276mm disc in the front and 220mm disc at the rear while single channel ABS will be offered as standard. The bike measures 2,065mm in length, 1,072mm in height and 778mm in width. It gets ground clearance of 167mm and saddle height of 790mm.

Hero Xtreme 200R is powered by a new single cylinder, air cooled, 200 cc engine offering 18.4 PS power at 8,000 rpm and 17.1 Nm torque at 6,500 rpm mated to a 5 speed transmission. This engine will be capable of 39.9 kmpl mileage and a top speed of 112 kmph. It will compete with the Bajaj Pulsar NS200.
