Hero Xtreme Sports, Dare, Dash launch in 2014, Zir by 2015

Hero Dash will be launched in the 110cc segment of scooter, where it will directly compete with one of the best sellers- Honda Activa. Dash is powered by a air-cooled 111cc 4 stroke engine, delivering 8.44 hp @ 7500 rpm and 9.4 Nm torque @ 5,750 rpm. As far as features are concerned, it will have integrated braking system, stand indicator, service due indicator, fuel lid on the outside, tubeless tires, 12V charging socket for your phone, and under seat storage. Hero will launch Dash by October 2014.

Hero Dare 125 cc scooter from Hero MotoCorp is expected make its presence felt in company showrooms in second half of this year, probably during the Diwali period. Both, Dare and Xtreme Sports 150 cc motorcycle were on display at the recently concluded 2014 Auto Expo in Greater Noida, where Dare could be seen with a full digital console, a telescopic hydraulic suspension set up, single hydraulic shock absorber and 12” and 10” tyres at front and rear respectively. Dare scooter will take on the Honda Activa 125 once launched and will sport a 124.6 cc engine offering 9.38 hp power at 7500 rpm and 9,8 Nm torque at 6500 rpm. Dare will weigh a total of 114kgs and will receive a fuel tank with capacity of 6 liters out of which 1.8 liters is reserve capacity.

Speaking about Xtreme Sports, it is powered by a 149.2 cc engine that delivers 15.2 bhp at 8,500 rpm and 12.8 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. It is designed as an everyday bike, which is expected to be stylish, affordable, powerful and efficient. Transmission is taken care by a 5 speed gear box, while disc brake (front) is standard, while rear gets drum brakes as standard, (disc is optional). Xtreme Sports will be launched by August 2014.

Zir automatic scooter is powered by a 157.1 cc liquid cooled single cylinder OHC engine offering 14 hp at 8500 rpm and 12.7 Nm torque at 7000 rpm. To be launched in 2015, the scooter will come in with a host of outstanding features to include Hero’s Integrated Hydraulic Braking System, exclusive dual projector headlamps along with daytime running lights besides smart phone integration. Zir will also receive telescopic hydraulic suspension along with adjustable dual shock absorbers at front and rear respectively while it will measure 2,085 mm in length, 745 mm in width, 1,385 mm in height.
