Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India had first showcased Honda 160cc X-Blade at Auto Expo. Today HMSI introduced the bike at a price of Rs 78,500 (Ex-showroom, Delhi). X-Blade bookings are being accepted at all dealerships at Rs. 5,000. This comes a day before the launch of TVS Apache 160 FI with single handlebar. X-Blade is available in 5 sporty colours – Matte Marvel Blue Metallic / Matte Frozen Silver Metallic / Pearl Spartan Red / Pearl Igneous Black and Matte Marshal Green Metallic.
Honda 160cc X-Blade is fitted with a link type gear shifter for precise and smooth shifts. Better handling and cornering is enabled with a wide 130 mm rear tyre,long 1347 mm wheelbase, and mono shock rear suspension. A long seat is on offer as opposed to split seats. A seal chain and hazard switch features. The digital metre (console) is convenient and displays service due indicator, digital clock and a gear position indicator.
X-Blade is powered by the 162.71 cc HET engine. It returns 13.93 bhp at 8,500 rpm and peak torque of 13.9 Nm at 6,000 rpm. The engine is designed to deliver good low and mid-range performance, faster acceleration, and better load carrying capacity.
The bike comes with a segment first road face LED headlamp. This ensures brighter light throw than standard halogen lamps. A 9 LED position lamp setup appael stands out. A razor edged LED tail lamp is a fitting match to the front end light setup.
A sculpted fuel tank, sharply designed grab rails, and rear tyre hugger fender fortify its design language. The latter protects X-Blade from underbody from mud accumulation. A sporty component is introduced through the chrome tip dual outlet muffler.
