Honda has filed a patent where the 300TT Racer Concept is concerned even as the company has not yet announced production plans. The concept was showcased at the 2016 Bangkok International Auto Show in March this year and is seen to be based on the Honda CB300F.
The patent filed sees subtle differences as compared to the concept on show while the application is purely for the purpose of protecting the concept design and does not in any way confirm it entering production.
Honda 300TT Racer Concept is based on the same frame as the Honda CBR300R and Honda CB300F. It receives the same 286cc single-cylinder engine but similarities end there. Honda 300TT Racer Concept receives a new sub frame supporting its single seat configuration and is noted with a shorter rear end.
Instrument panel, rear hugger and rear disc brakes have also been modified. The fuel tank sits lower and is flatter while café racer style handle bars offer better comforts for forward leaning riding position.
Changes on the Honda 300TT Racer Concept also include new exhausts and upside down forks along with LED headlight, radial mounted front brake calipers and a host of carbon fiber elements.
