As has been seen in the previous months, the list of top 10 best-selling scooters in September 2018 is clearly dominated by Honda Activa with 2,84,809 units sold. The Honda Activa has remained the highest selling two wheeler in India for the past few years and recently achieved the 2 crore sales mark.
The 1 crore mark was achieved 15 years after launch while the next 1 crore sales was achieved in three years. TVS Jupiter continued its outstanding sales in September 2018, with a No. 2 position with 90,738 units sold. The Jupiter comes with multiple variants and a long list of features which has helped it to garner some attention in the scooter segment in India.
TVS Motors also had the Ntorq, the recently launched premium scooter on the list of best selling scooters in September at No. 7 with a special metallic red paint scheme added and a total of 20,820 units sold along with the TVS Pep+ at No. 9 with a total of 12,148 units sold.
At No. 3 on the list of best selling scooters, Suzuki Access, a premium 125cc scooter from the Japanese manufacturer, sales stood at 46,931 units in September 2018 followed by the Honda Dio at No. 4 with 44,397 units sold.
Hero MotoCorp had three of its models in the list of top 10 scooters sold in September 2018. The Hero Maestro was at No.5 with 37,367 units sold while the Hero Duet at No. 6 saw sales to the extent of 23,124 units followed by the Hero Pleasure at No. 10 with 16,578 units sold.
Yamaha 2-Wheelers India had its sole entrant on the list of best selling scooters in September 2018 with Fascio sales of 20,268 units.
