While it took the company 15 years to reach the 1 crore sales mark, the subsequent crore took a mere 3 years.
The numbers are so mind-boggling that every 9 seconds a new customer buys a Honda Activa now. No doubt then, Activa is the only Indian scooter to have breached the 2 crore sales mark. In its current form, the company is selling the scooter’s 5th gen version.

The journey so far – Launched in 2001, the company sold 55k units in its first year of business. That number reached the 5 lakh mark in 2003, and doubled to 10l in 2005. In 2012, the company announced 50l units sold. The 1 crore sales milestone was announced in 2015. The rest, they say, is history.
