There are no mechanical changes whatsover.

The Honda BR-V Modulo variant with sporty body kit is being showcased at the ongoing Thailand Motor Expo 2015 alongside the regular variant of the crossover. The Mobilio-based 7-seater SUV is scheduled to go sale in India and Thailand next year.

The BR-V Modulo features a spruced up exterior complete with silver accented body kits all around, exclusively dual-tone alloy wheels, chrome door handles, chrome inserts on wing mirrors, a chrome exhaust tip and a rear roof spoiler. On the inside, the enhancements come in the form of drilled pedals and a new steering wheel. Rest of the items remain the same and there are no mechanical changes whatsoever.

The steering wheel is different from what we saw in the prototype.

For the Thai market, Honda would offer the 120 PS 1.5-litre i-VTEC engine mated to a stepped CVT. A 6-speed MT could also be in the offing. For India, this engine would be accompanied by the 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel engine which puts out 100 PS.

The compact crossover is expected to make its Indian debut at the Auto Expo in February 2016. The SUV will pick up a fight against the likes of Hyundai Creta, Renault Duster and Nissan Terrano when it goes on sale in H1 2016. To be made at Honda Cars India’s expanded Tapukara plant, the BR-V will be relying on high level of localization to arrive at a competitive pricing.
