The Honda BR-V made its international sales debut yesterday in Indonesia and the company’s local subsidiary has released a promotional video highlighting the crossover’s salient features. The SUV starts at IDR 226.5 million (or INR 10.93 lakh).
Like any other compact crossover, the BR-V is portrayed as a practical set of wheels that can comfortably do the urban chores while being ever ready to take on that adventurous week end trip. The vehicle’s marketing tagline reads “Only the Braver”.
The 7-seat crossover SUV based on the Honda Mobilio is powered by the familiar 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine for the Indonesian market. The 120 PS motor is mated either to a 6-speed manual gearbox or a CVT driving the front wheels.
The interior offers flexible seating and storage solutions and is equipped with a touchscreen multimedia infotainment system, automatic climate control, airbags, electrically controlled wing mirrors, rear AC and many more. Safety features include ABS with EBD, Hill Start Assist and reverse parking camera.

The Honda BR-V is expected to be make its Indian debut at the Auto Expo 2016 and would go on sale shortly thereafter. The crossover will be manufactured at the Tapukara plant in Rajasthan. Competition would come from Hyundai Creta, Maruti S-Cross, Renault Duster and Nissan Terrano.
