Honda 2Wheelers India is the first two-wheeler brand to have crossed the 1 lakh BSVI sales milestone.
Honda BSVI complaint models include Activa 125, SP 125 and Activa 6G, which account for cumulative sales of 1,00,000 units. Being a big player in the market, it’s no doubt Honda had to lead from the front in initiating its BSVI transition. An essential move so the company is able to guarantee a smooth BSVi transition, a compliancy requirement mandated from April 1, 2020.
Honda was able to ensure it’s BSVI products were available in the market almost a year ahead of the mandated April 1, 2020 deadline. Since then, Honda has in the meanwhile gone ahead with the launch of three BSVI compliant models (Activa 125, SP 125 and Activa 6G).
The company is thankful for the market’s overwhelming response for Honda’s BSVI bikes. Honda is proud of its position in the ongoing BSVI transition almost 6 months ahead of the deadline. Honda takes pride in its many innovative features and offerings, including eSP, ACG starter motor and fuel efficiency.
Honda offers 6-year warranty package (3 years standard + 3 years optional extended warranty) for its product. At the moment the company is offering finance schemes with benefits up to Rs. 10,000 for its BSVI lineup. HMSI will be in an even better position next month as the company moves to 100 percent BSVI production beginning February 2020.
All Honda BSVI engines work in conjunction with Enhanced Smart Power (eSP) tech, which integrates ACG Starter motor, and reduced frictional losses with Programmed Fuel Injection(PGM-Fi).
And BSVI transition revolves around the premise of customer benefits. Activa 6G mileage stands improved by 10 percent, and SP 125 mileage by 16 percent. All new Activa 125 BSVI benefits from 26 new patents (applied for). Honda 125cc PGM-Fi HET engine with eSP works to improve mileage by 13 percent.
Segment first features include Side Stand Indicator with Engine Inhibitor, digital analogue meter, integrated dual function switch and external fuel lid, Idling Stop System, and front glove box. The company celebrates 2020 with the ‘Power of 6’. New Activa 6G gets power from a 110cc HET PGM-Fi engine with eSP. It features ACG motor for silent start, and enhanced Smart Tumble Technology (eSTT).
The improved scooter features telescopic suspension, an integrated dual function switch, malfunction light, new engine start stop switch, external fuel lid, passing switch, DC LED headlamp, and 3-step adjustable rear suspension. The scooter offers increased floor space, bigger 12-inch front wheel, and a longer wheelbase.
