This of course comes together with the support of a robust sales process of the dealership.
Relying on digital engagement will at the very least allow manufacturers to gather a database of potential customers for a time when the business environment is favourable. There’s no doubt that a car buying decision is not the first thing on our minds today, or in the near future. But, there’s no fault in hoping that business normalcy will be thing of the future.
For now, those keen can initiate a car purchase without visiting a dealership. One can browse product options, select a preferred dealership, and book a car online. The digital booking platform will soon integrate HCIL’s pan-India dealerships so it becomes a feasible option across locations.
One can visit the website and select Book Now option. Following customer information validation, car model and variant/ fuel type, transmission (AT/MT) and colour can be selected. And then select city and dealership where they intend to make the purchase. Upon information summary page verification, one can proceed to payment gateway, choose payment option, and book online.
A booking confirmation id is sent to the customer via SMS/ Email, and the selected dealer receives customer details including booking id. Once booked, a sales executive from the selected HCIL dealership will connect with the customer to discuss further documentation, and finance or payment options. Upon completion of formalities, the vehicle will be delivered at home.
