Honda Cars India is set to increase prices of their cars by 1.2 percent from July 2019. This is the second price hike that the company will be implementing this year, with the first price hike in February when the Japanese carmaker increased the prices by Rs. 10,000 in Feb 2019.
The price hike by 1.2 percent will be on all cars in the company range right from the Amaze to the Accord Hybrid which are priced from Rs 5.9 lakhs to Rs.44.3 lakhs. The company cites rising input costs in view of new safety regulations coming into effect as reasons for this price hike.
The prices of these input costs have been increasing over the past few months. Till date, the company claims that it was absorbing these costs, but has now decided to pass on some of this burden to the buyers.
Honda Cars India currently sells a total of eight cars in the country. These range from the Honda Amaze, City, WR-V, BR-V, Jazz, Civic, CR-V and Accord. Each of these models will see a price hike of up to 1.2% come this July. They already comply with new safety norms and get dual front airbags, ABS, EBD, rear parking sensors, high speed alert and seat belt reminders as standard.
