2019 Honda CB Shine 125 Limited Edition launch price Rs 59k – New graphics

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) today officially launched limited editions of Activa and CB Shine 125. Both of them come with new colours, and marginal price hike. The limited edition Honda Activa 5G will be sold in Standard and Deluxe formats. It will carry a price hike by Rs.400 over the regular model which is priced at Rs.54,632. The limited edition CB Shine 125 will be priced upward by Rs.300 over the current model.

Honda Activa 5G, in a dual paint scheme with limited edition graphics, receives an apron and headlamp surrounds along with a grab rail finished in Matte Selene Silver Metallic paint and a body painted in Pearl Amazing White colour. It will also be seen with a matching seat cover in a contrasting colour while the engine is painted in black with the muffler cover getting a chrome finish.

The limited edition of the Honda CB Shine 125 is also available in two colour options of Black with Imperial Red Metallic and Black with Spear Silver Metallic. It will get graphic design on the visor and fuel tank as well as on the side cowl and rear panel. It gets a grab rail in a contrasting colour scheme.

Apart from these colour changes and added graphics, there will be no other changes in terms of mechanics. The Honda Activa will continue to be powered by a 109.9cc air cooled engine offering 8 bhp power at 7,500 rpm and 9 Nm torque at 5,500 rpm. Engine specifications on the CB Shine continue with a 124.73cc air cooled engine offering 10.16 bhp at 7,500 rpm and 10.30 Nm at 5,500 rpm. The engine gets mated to a 5 speed gearbox.

With these two limited edition models, the company targets increased sales. No production numbers have been announced. Dealers across India have started receiving these new scooters and motorcycles. Deliveries have started at select dealerships. Besides these two limited edition models, Honda also plans launch of BS VI versions of the Honda Activa which will sport the Honda Activa 6G moniker. The new model will be launched sometime later this year or early next year, ahead of the new emission norms coming into effect.
