Eager wait for Honda CBR 650F started since the company presented the high displacement sportsbike at 2014 Delhi Auto Expo. What’s more exciting is the motorcycle was revealed to be brought in as CKD (Completely Knocked Down), to be assembled in one of the three plans Honda has in India. This means CBR 650F will have compelling price tag, rivalling Kawasaki Ninja 650 / ER-6N, Benelli TNT 600i, Hyosung GT 650, Triumph Street Triple and the like.
Honda CBR 650F houses a sweet 649cc liquid-cooled inline four cylinder engine with DOHC, that dishes out 87 bhp max power @ 11,000 rpm and 63 Nm peak torque @ 8,000 rpm, linked to 6-speed gearbox. All that power is stopped by 320 mm dual front disc and 240 mm rear rotor brake, governed by ABS as standard fitment. Tyres used are of size 120/70ZR-17 upfront and 180/55ZR-17 at the rear.
Expect Honda CBR 650F to be priced at around Rs. 4.89 lakhs (ex-showroom).
