Honda CBR 650F is one of the highly anticipated mid-size sports bikes in India since a long time. The motorcycle was recently believed to launch in March, around the same time DSK-Benelli has planned to introduce its first set of superbike collection in Indian market.The sportsbike will be imported as CKD and will have only around 5 percent local content, which is planned to be increased in a phased manner. He also mentioned that CBR 650F will be priced at around Rs. 8 lakh.
Honda CBR 650F is one of the 7 brand new models set for launch in India this year. Including facelifts / cosmetic updates, the company has 15 new launches in the pipeline for 2015.
HMSI has three manufacturing / assembly plants currently, in Haryana, Rajasthan and Karnataka. Combined capacity is 4.60 million units per annum. The upcoming / fourth plant being set up in Gujarat (at an investment of about Rs. 1,100 crores) will commence production early next year, at a capacity of 1.20 million units a year. The Gujarat plant will manufacture Honda scooters. The Japanese two-wheeler marque that sold 37 lakh units in India last year, aims to push 45 lakh units this year.
