Launched at the Honda RevFest 2015 in Delhi by Bollywood actor and Honda Ambassador Akshay Kumar, the Honda CBR 650F has an on-road price tag of INR 8,24,755. Locally assembled at the company’s Manesar plant, Honda Motorcycles and Scooter India is expecting increased sales of the new sportsbike during the upcoming festive period. This will help them achieve their target of selling 200 units by the end of this financial year.
Currently, Honda CBR 650F, the flagship CKD model of HMSI, is sold through company’s 12 select showrooms across the country and 2 Honda Wing World showrooms in Mumbai and Delhi. The sales will receive a boost from the increase in dealerships, which is set to touch the 20 mark by March 2016.
Honda CBR 650F is powered by a 648.72cc liquid cooled, in line, four cylinder DOHC engine offering 63.6 kW power at 11,000 rpm and 62.9 Nm torque at 8,000 rpm mated to a 6 speed transmission. It possesses a fuel tank of 17.3 liter capacity and weighs a total of 215 kgs. Honda CBR 650F stands 2110mm in length, 755mm in width and 1145mm in height. It has ground clearance of 130mm and a wheelbase of 1450mm.
Here in India, it rivals the likes of Kawasaki Ninja 650, Benelli TNT600i, Hyosung GT650R, Ducati Monster 795, Triumph Speed Triple and Kawasaki Z800.
