Honda CBR650R India launch in early 2019 – Exp price Rs 8 lakhs
Showcased at 2018 EICMA Show in November, the new Honda CBR650R will replace the current CBR650F on sale in India.
Honda Motorcycles India will launch the new CBR650R sportsbike sometime in early 2019. It will take the place of the current CBR650F and will rival the likes of Kawasaki Ninja 650 in India.
The new Honda CBR650R sports dual split LED headlamps and a fully digital LCD instrument cluster. It gets a fascia similar to that seen on the Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade.
Clip on handle bars are positioned 30mm lower and further ahead; while foot pegs are 6mm higher and 3mm rear wards. Thus offering the new Honda CBR650R a sportier stance.
2019 Honda CBR 650R will be powered by a 649cc liquid cooled, in line, four cylinder engine offering 95 bhp power at 12,000 rpm and 64 Nm torque at 8,500 rpm mated to a 6 speed gearbox with standard assist and slipper clutch.
This is the same engine seen on its earlier counterpart but reworked. It now delivers 5 percent added power and revs higher, all the way to 12,000 rpm. The engine promises mileage of around 20 kmpl while the fuel tank is of 15.4 liter capacity. The engine is expected to comply with BS VI emission norms.
2019 CBR650R will come in with Honda Selectable Torque Control, controlling traction at the rear wheel while it will also receive 41mm upside down Showa forks with 120mm travel along with an adjustable rear mono shock with 43.5mm wheel travel. 2019 Honda CBR 650R will be available in a range of two colour options of Grand Prix Red and Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic while price will be announced at a later stage. Expected launch price is in the range of Rs 8 lakhs.
