Government of India levied this new tax on cars called ‘Infrastructure Cess’ in the Union Budget 2016/17. This tax has resulted in cars getting costlier in the range of 10-35%. Earlier today, Hyundai India announced the new price of their cars, and now Honda India has revealed the same.
As per the announcement, Honda Brio has gotten coslier by INr 4,000 ~ 6,000, Honda Jazz by INR 5,000 ~ 19,500, Honda City by INR 24,600 – 38,100, Honda Mobilio by INR 21,800 ~ 37,700, and Honda CR-V by INR 66,500 ~ 79,000. Increased prices are already in effect from 1st March 2016.
Honda Amaze price has not been revised as the new Amaze was launched on 3rd of March. Its price ranges from INR 5.30 to INR 8.19 lakh.
In 2016, Honda Cars India have lined-up one more launch – new BR-V crossover. It will be launched later in the year and will be offered with petrol and diesel engine option. Honda BR-V will be competing with the likes of Maruti S-Cross and Hyundai Creta, with having the USP of being a 7 seater.
