Honda City sedan launched in India at a price of Rs 6.99 lacs, 20 mm longer and 5 mm taller than outgoing City
Honda Siel Cars India, launched the new version of their midsized sedan, City in India earlier today at a price of Rs 6.99 lacs. In all five variants of 2012 City sedan are launched in India. New Honda City sedan is one of the most awaited midsized sedans in the Indian auto industry. Price of different Honda City variants is as follows; (Ex-showroom, New Delhi)
The base model, Corporate MT is priced at Rs 6.99 lacs, E MT is priced at Rs 7.70 lacs, S MT is priced at Rs 8.20 lacs, V MT is priced at Rs 8.70 lacs, V AT is priced at Rs 9.42 lacs, V MT with Sunroof is priced at Rs 9.50 lacs and V AT with Sunroof is priced at Rs 10.02 lacs.
The competition in the mid-sized sedan segment is getting fiercer in the Indian auto industry, as more and more manufacturers are entering the segment. Within the space of one month, we have seen Skoda Rapid and Nissan Sunny diesel being launched in the segment. Other popular cars in this segment include, Hyundai Verna, Volkswagen Vento, and Maruti Suzuki Swift DZire.
In the new Honda City, you will get the option of new bright colors, value added features, new looks, 10 spoke alloys, new bumpers, new taillights, chrome front grille, beige interiors, high quality fabric, chrome fittings on the inside, Blue Meter Graphic, etc. In the base variant of Honda City sedan, you have black interiors. The five color options you will have in new Honda City are, Urban Titanium Metallic, Bold Beige Metallic, Albaster Silver metallic, and Taffeta White.

New Honda City gives a mileage of 16.8 kmpl and emits lesser pollutants than the old Honda City. New Honda City engine is compliant with Euro IV emission standards and will feature the standard safety features like airbags, ABS, pre-tensioner seat belts, G-CON G Force Control Technology, and brake assist.
Honda City was first launched in India in 1998 and since then a total of 376,000 units of the same have been sold in India. Bookings have already commenced for the new Honda City sedan at all Honda dealerships in India. Deliveries of new Honda City will begin in January 2012.
