2019 Honda Civic sedan has been spied once again, this time in Mumbai. Last, it was spotted on the Noida expressway. Latest spy shots show the car’s front and rear coupe design in detail.
The 2019 Honda Civic sedan will come into India via the CKD route with components brought in from the company’s Ayutthaya plant in Thailand. It will receive an updated design, bringing the modern Honda design language to India.
Exterior updates will include smoked headlamps, gloss black finish on its front bumper, LED headlamps with LED DRLs and chrome accents on fog lamp housing. Two new exterior paint shades include Platinum White Pearl and Molten Lava Pearl. The sides of the new Civic sedan will sport a new shoulder line extending from headlamps to tail lamps at the rear while it will sit on new alloy wheels.
The cabin layout will be similar to that seen on the current model but will be updated in the form of equipment and infotainment. The new 7” touchscreen infotainment system will support both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
There will be wireless charging facility, sun roof, rear AC vents and arm rests for front and rear passengers. Safety features will be a total of 6 airbags, cruise control, collision warning, mitigation system, lane departure warning and lane keep assist along with ABS and EBD.
The 2019 Honda Civic will get its power via both petrol and diesel engine options. The 1.8 liter i-VTEC petrol engine will deliver 141 bhp power and 174 Nm torque while the 1.6 liter i-DTEC diesel engine will offer 118 bhp power and 300 Nm torque. Both engines get mated to 6 speed manual or 9 speed automatic gearbox. The new Honda Civic is slated to be priced between Rs.18-24 lakhs while it will have to contend with the Toyota Corolla, Skoda Octavia and Hyundai Elantra.
