New Honda CLIQ 110 cc scooter launched – Price, Specs, Features

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has launched the new 110cc Honda Cliq in India which joins the company’s current lineup of five automatic scooters. Honda Cliq is being produced from the company plant in Tapukara, Rajasthan where it has now gone on sale. Sales across other states in India will be done in a phased manner.

Priced at INR 42,499 (ex-showroom), the new Honda Cliq is designed for both male and female riders. It is being presented in a choice of five colors of Patriotic Red with White, Black, Moroccan Blue with White, and Orcus Grey and addresses demands of the customer where comfort, safety and convenience is concerned.

Engine, Specs

It comes in powered by a 110cc Honda BS-IV HET – Honda Eco Technology engine offering of 8 bhp power at 7,000 rpm and 8.94 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm mated to the same auto transmission that is seen on a host of other Honda scooters. With kerb weight of 102 kgs, Honda Cliq commands best in power to weight ratio. It also delivers excellent mileage, has a fuel tank with capacity of 3.5 liters and promises a top speed of 83 kmph.

Features

Honda Cliq’s USP is its performance and versatility. It gets a wide footboard and extensive under seat storage. It also gets Block Pattern Tyres offering better grip on the road. A headlamp cluster as seen on the Honda Dio is also a part of its features along with rear carrier, mobile charging socket, tubeless tyres, increased load carrying capacity and optional accessories like front screen, floor cover, box center, cap cover, rear grip.

Safety

In terms of safety, HMSI has offered Honda Combi Brake System technology with the Honda Cliq which proportionately distributes braking force between front and rear wheels. Reduced braking distance and improved balance is also a part of this technology resulting in more confident riding. Wheels are fitted with 30mm brake drums offering extra grip on the road while seat height is lowered making maneuvering in heavy traffic much easier.
