Honda revealed the prototype version of the Honda CRF150L at the 2017 GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show earlier this year. Now, the production ready version has been launched. Price of the new Honda CRF150L starts from IDR 31,800,000, on-road, Indonesia, which is about Rs 1.52 lakh approximately.
Unlike the concept bike which was wearing Pirelli tyres and featured Russian Motocross Livery from HRD Evgeny Bobryshev’s trademark ‘777’, the production ready variant is seen in a toned down avatar. It features red and white livery, as seen in other Honda bikes, with the CRF150L decal.
Powering Honda CRF150L is a 149.2cc, SOHC air cooled, single cylinder engine. This engine uses fuel injection and offers 12.91 PS of power at 8,000 rpm and 12.3 Nm torque at 6,500 rpm. It is mated to a 5 speed transmission. The most affordable CRF motorcycle ever, the new Honda CRF150L engine is EURO3 compliant. It delivers a claimed mileage of 39.3 km/l. Fuel tank capacity stands at 7.3 liters.
Honda CRF150L features Showa long travel inverted forks (with 225 mm travel) in the front and monoshock (210 mm travel) with linkage at the rear. Braking is via 240mm disc in the front and 220 mm disc at the rear. It gets 80/100 section tyre in the front and 100/100 section tyre at the rear. Front has a 21 inch rim while rear has an 18 inch rim. The underseat exhaust is from Yoshimura.
Designed and built on the idea – “Take You to Off Fun Ride”, the new Honda CRF150L is aimed at entry level off-roading enthusiasts. Along with the bike, Honda has also launched a range of new genuine accessory option. These are rear rack, skid plate, heel guard, bar pad, and much more.
Besides showcasing the Honda CRF150L concept in Indonesia, Honda CB150R Street Fire was also noted with five new color schemes. The company expects to see notable sales of this motorcycle to the tune of 14,000 units annually.
