Honda CRF250 Rally showcased at the 2017 Bangkok Motor Show

Launch of the Honda CRF250 Rally in India is not on the cards.

Honda CRF250 Rally on display at the 2017 Bangkok Motor Show features design elements from HRC’s CFR450 Dakar racer. It gets a large windscreen, LED headlights and indicators and a 10.1 liter fuel tank and is being offered as a lightweight off roader.

The CRF250 Rally is powered by a Euro IV compliant, 250cc, single cylinder, air cooled, SOHC, 2 valve engine offering 24.4bhp at 8,500 rpm and 22.6Nm peak torque at 6,750 rpm mated to a 6 speed transmission. This is the same engine as is seen on the Honda CBR250R. It;s 10.1 liter fuel tank delivers a ride range of 300 kms. It has a wet weight of 157 kgs.

Other features on the Honda CRF250 Rally which were noted at the Bangkok Motor Show include a high ground clearance signaling the bike is ideal for off roading. It gets a 43mm Showa fork in the front and sits on 21” wheel in the front and 18” at the rear fitted with off road focused tyres. It gets ABS which is offered as an option, added ground clearance and a compact headlamp.

It is also noted with an asymmetric dual LED unit and LED indicators at the rear. The digital dash sports a speedometer, tachometer, fuel gauge and clock.

On sale in the US for a starting price tag of $5899 (INR 3.8 lakh), the bike is not expected to be launched in India.
