Honda throws light on CRV SUV prototype before Geneva Motor Show (Photos)

Honda has announced that it would be unveiling a prototype of its new CRV SUV at the Geneva Motor Show in March. As time draws near for the popular Motor show of 2012, car enthusiasts from different corners of the globe are unable to conceal their excitement. To take the level of fervor higher, Honda has released information about its new CRV prototype to be displayed at the Motor show in the coming weeks.

A glance at the 5-door monster and you’re likely to think this is a carbon copy of the vehicle available in U.S. However, on closer inspection you will realize that this vehicle for the European market has a grille that is aesthetically more pleasing than its American 5-door. Although strikingly similar, the finish of the grille and improved headlamps distinguish this vehicle for the European market from the one available in U.S. The CRV will be available with European dealerships in the third quarter of 2012.

Honda Reveals Images of the European CR-V Prototype

Honda has revealed images of the European CR-V Prototype ahead of its public debut at the Geneva Motor Show on 6 March 2012.

This preview model highlights the exterior styling direction of the all-new fourth generation European Honda CR-V, which is set to go on sale in Autumn 2012.

Compared to the previous generation, this Prototype adopts a more aggressive stance with deeper sculpting of the body lines and a bolder front fascia. The lower front bumper wraps smartly upward to convey SUV capability, while the lower front bumper design now integrates more smoothly into the fascia for improved aerodynamics.

The Honda Press Conference will take place at 09.15 CET on Tuesday 6 March.
