Honda Dio scooter gets new color variant and 3D emblem

Honda Dio receives a new color option of Matt Axis Grey and a 3D emblem while price stays the same at INR 48,264.

Two wheeler manufacturers, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI), showcased the updated Honda Dio at 2016 Auto Expo. It sports a new color scheme, a new 3D emblem while body colored grab rail has also been added.

Pricing remains the same at INR 48,264 while there are no changes in engine. Honda Dio is powered by a 109.2 cc air cooled, single cylinder engine capable of 8 bhp peak power at 7,000 rpm and 8.77 Nm torque at 5,500 rpm mated to a V-Matic transmission. Top speed stands at 83kmph.

Honda Dio has been a popular model both in India and overseas markets. It is being exported to Latin America, South America, Sri Lanka and Nepal while new export markets are on the cards. Honda Dio is the company’s sixth new model of 2016 set to attract buyers with these new updates minus any additional costs.

Honda Dio is also available in 4 existing colors of Jazzy Blue Metallic, Candy Palm Green, Sports Red and Black while it competes with the Yamaha Cygnus Ray Z and Hero Duet. Retaining its leadership position in the scooter segment in India, HMSI’s scooter portfolio includes the Dio, Activa i, Activa 3G, Aviator, Activa 125 besides the recently launched Honda Navi.
