Honda Cars India Ltd has pledged a major comeback in the Asian subcontinent. The company currently has three vehicles to offer – Amaze, City and Elevate. It has to be noted that Elevate is Honda’s only SUV in India and has just received a price hike for January 2026. Let’s check out the details.

Elevate is one of 13 vehicles competing in the highly contested 4.2m to 4.4m SUV segment. Competition is cut-throat and Honda Elevate emerged as the 6th best-selling vehicle in this segment in November 2025 sales charts as it sold 1,836 units, facing YoY growth of 10.07% and MoM decline of 16.01%.

Now, Honda has just revised prices of its Elevate SUV by up to Rs 60k for the month of January 2026. This price hike is not uniform and is variant dependent. Highest price hike of Rs 59,900 has been burdened towards the base SV variant. This takes Elevate’s entry-level price from Rs 11 lakh (Ex-sh) to Rs 11.6 lakh (Ex-sh).

Stepping up from SV, we have V trim which has received a price hike of Rs 9,990, which is the same with both Manual and Automatic. Price went up from Rs 11.96 lakh (Ex-sh) to Rs 12.06 lakh (Ex-sh) for Manual and Rs 13.12 lakh (Ex-sh) to Rs 13.22 lakh (Ex-sh) for Automatic variants equipped with a CVT.

If we look at VX trim level, Honda has hiked the prices by Rs 13,590 to both Manual and Automatic. Manual variant went up to Rs 13.75 lakh (Ex-sh), while automatic variant Rs 14.91 (Ex-sh). ZX, on the other hand, received a price hike of Rs 9,990 and the new prices for Manual is Rs 14.98 lakh (Ex-sh) and Automatic Rs 16.16 lakh (Ex-sh). ZX Black variants are also available for Rs 10,000 extra.

Honda is on the verge of turning its fortuners around in the Indian market and has promised ten new cars for the country by 2030. Seven of these will be SUVs, showing growing demand for high-riding vehicles. The company is also focusing on premium-isation of Honda brand with more halo cars to be launched in India via CBU route. A big bet is also on electric vehicles and localisation of EV propulsion technology. In that regard, we will see the launch of Honda 0 Alpha electric SUV. ICE SUVs like ZR-V are likely to be on the cards for Indian market as well. More details will be revealed in the future.
