As Honda strengthens its sales, its sales and distribution network during FY2018-19 increased to 381 outlets across 264 cities.

As is the norm, March sales are almost always given a boost through dealership measures designed around discounts and offers, insurance, extended warranty, exchange bonus and other offers.

Amaze is the best selling Honda car in India.

For Honda to continue to its sales momentum, the brand is focused on its product portfolio in India. And while Brio small car has been discontinued, the Jazz EV has been spied on test. Honda has also discussed the ever competitive mid-size compact SUV segment wherein they have no product on offer.

Rajesh Goel, Senior Vice President and Director, Sales and Marketing, Honda Cars India Ltd said, “We have closed the financial year 2018-19 with a growth of 8%. Strong sales efforts from the dealers and company during the prevailing tough market scenario resulted in this growth rate, which is ahead of the industry. One of our growth drivers was the All New Amaze. The launch of our global bestsellers Civic and CR-V reinforced Honda’s premium product line-up.”

At Auto Expo 2018, Honda Cars India showcased 3 vehicles planned for launch through the FY. The first launch was the new-gen Amaze, which has continuously pulled its weight in gold. Hyundai CR-V was launched next. Last month the Civic was launched, and boy is the company glad. In a short while the company has supplied to a segment that wanted more, and 2,400 bookings have already been confirmed.

Rajesh Goel adds, “The iconic all-new Civic, which we launched last month has received an overwhelming response and will give the much needed boost to the executive sedan segment in India”.
