Honda Jazz sales cross 9,000 units in 35 days

Honda Jazz, launched on 8th July 2015 has seen overwhelming response in the first month of launch. Honda Jazz sales have already crossed 9,000 units. It is its innovative new design, advanced on board technology, segment first features and outstanding fuel efficiency that have attracted the attention of first time buyers in the country.

Honda Cars registered monthly domestic sales of 18,606 units in July 2015 as against 15,709 units sold in July 2014 recording YoY growth of 18%. These outstanding sales have enabled the company to outsell Mahindra and Mahindra in July to become the third largest selling automaker in the country. M&M sales in July 2015 stood at 14,556 units.

With sales of Honda Jazz premium hatchback surging past Honda City of which 5,180 units were sold in July 2015, Honda Cars expects to see continued response from buyers. Honda Jazz with its sporty features and outstanding interior space is offered in both petrol and diesel engine options. The 1.5 liter i-DTEC diesel and 1.2 liter i-VTEC petrol both offer higher fuel efficiency and advanced performance. The petrol engine is capable of 89 bhp power at 6,000 rpm and 110 Nm torque at 4,800 rpm mated to a 5 speed manual or CVT automatic gearbox.

The diesel engine offers 99 bhp power at 3,600 rpm and 200 Nm torque at 1,750 rpm mated to a 6 speed manual. Fuel efficiency varies from 18.7 kmpl to 19 kmpl where the 1.2 liter petrol is concerned while fuel efficiency with the 1.5 liter diesel engine goes upto 27.3 kmpl.

Pricing of the 2015 Honda Jazz, depending on variants, ranges from INR 5.30 lakhs to INR 8.59 lakhs.
