Honda Livo motorcycle which is touted to replace CB Twister at the higher end of the brand’s comprehensive range of 110 cc commuters is all set to be launched later this week. The teaser shows the bike’s fuel tank which matches that of the test mules spied previously.
The commuter features a sporty fuel tank with edgy extensions. Going by the earlier spotting, Livo gets a bikini fairing, new twin hexagonal instrument pods and a bodywork that has no similarities with the model it will be replacing.
Technical details are under wraps but we don’t expect to see anything significantly new as the company is looking to harness the benefits of economies of scale. A diamond frame chassis would hold the bike together while conventional telescopic front fork and twin coil spring rear shocks constitute the suspension system.
The familiar 110 cc engine is the viable candidate to propel the new commuter. In CB Twist, the motor churns out 9 bhp and 8.97 Nm of torque and is mated to a 4-speed transmission. Efficiency enhancing HET (Honda Eco Technology) willl be incorporated.
With an estimated price range of INR 50,000 – 55,000 (ex-showroom), new Honda Livo will take on the likes of Mahindra Centuro, TVS Start City+, Hero Passion Pro, etc.
