These promotion activities commenced last weekend in Delhi’s NCR and will be going on show in malls across Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Pune, Kolkata and Chandigarh. Set to go on sale by the end of July, company dealers have commenced orders for the new Honda Mobilio on a down payment of INR 50,000 even while official pre bookings are set to commence early July.
Honda Mobilio has already been launched in Indonesia where it is powered by the City 1.5 liter petrol engine producing 118 PS power and 145 Nm torque. In India, besides the petrol engine, the Honda Mobilio will also receive a 1.5 liter diesel engine capable of 100 PS power and 200 Nm torque. This engine has been doing duty on both Amaze and City.
Indonesia spec Mobilio measures 4,386 mm in length, 1,683 mm in width, 1,603 mm in height and sits on a wheelbase measuring 2,650 mm. Honda Mobilio is based on Brio platform and will take on Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, Chevrolet Enjoy and Nissan Evalia once launched. Though pricing has not yet been confirmed, estimates put the soon to be launched Honda Mobilio in the INR 6 lakhs to INR 8.50 lakh category.
