Honda Mobilio second TVC: Kapil Sharma, Politician and Car Ya Sarkar

With Honda Mobilio slated for launch in India around June 23, the company is set to make its entry into the MPV segment. Promising to be good value for money, the Mobilio will compete with Maruti Ertiga and is expected to come at a price tag of Rs 6.5 to 9 lakhs approximately.

Speaking about the second TVC with Kapil Sharma, he continues with has act as a salesperson at Honda India dealership. Unlike last time, where he was seen selling the car to a woman, in this one he tries to sell the car to a politician. Just like the previous ad, in which Kapil ticks the bone with ‘Kapur ka launda ya apna Honda’ in the new TVC as well he is back doing what he does best -‘Sarkar paanch saal chale na chale, ye car saalo saal chalegi’.

Honda Mobilio MPV has already been launched in Indonesia and will come to India where it will be offered with both petrol and diesel engine options. Petrol engine is expected in the form of a 1.2 liter i-VTEC engine capable of 88 PS power and 109 Nm torque mated to either 5 speed manual or CVT gearbox. A 1.5 liter i-DTEC diesel engine with 100 PS and 200 Nm torque will also be on offer mated to a 5 or 6 speed manual transmission. The diesel engine is the most fuel efficient engine in India. Honda has said that Mobilio will offer class leading mileage, which means more than Maruti Eriga’s 16 kmpl and 20.8 kmpl for petrol and diesel respectively.

Interiors of the Mobilio are kept simple and comfortable with sufficient room for upto 7 adults with three row seating. Done up in beige and black colour scheme, the dash board is in black with metallic inserts and fitted with a touchscreen infotainment system, instrument panel and AC unit. Cup holders, large glove box, bottle holders, sun visors and inside rear view mirror are part of the Mobilio’s interior makeup.

Honda Mobilio will come in with E, S and V trims besides the Mobilio RS which promises to be sportier with HID projector headlights, rear spoiler and chrome finished exhausts. Honda Mobilio is being produced from company plant in Greater Noida with an estimated target to produce 45,000 units per annum.

As of now, Honda India is busy with Mobilio’s marketing activities. They have already launched two new ads with Kapil Sharma, which have been very successful. Apart from this, they are also taking Mobilio to shopping malls across major Indian cities, giving buyers a chance to have a first-hand experience of the new Mobilio before launch later this month.
