At the launch today, Honda said that Mobilio has been exclusively designed and developed by Honda for their customers in Asian markets. It has been made after conducting comprehensive research and taking into consideration customer’s feedback. To keep the launch price of Honda Mobilio competitive, a localization level of 90% has been achieved, just like Amaze and new City.
Even before it was launched, Honda Mobilio has already stirred up enthusiasm, thanks to their exciting advertising campaigns with Kapil Sharma turning salesman. To be offered in a choice of three variants, E, S and V, Mobilio’s USP is its exterior design, generous interior space and two powerful yet efficient engine options. A top end RS variant, which will sit above the V variant, will also be on offer and it will only come in diesel engine option. This will be available from September, while the deliveries of Mobilio begins today.
Comfortable accommodating upto 7 adults in its cabin designed in a three row configuration, the Mobilio will instantly appeal to buyers with larger families. Seating in the front row is for two persons while middle row receives a bench for upto three persons. Third row seats are for two with all seats facing front.
Honda Mobilio comes in with both petrol and diesel engine options to include a 1.5 liter i-VTEC petrol and 1.5 liter i-DTEC diesel engine, these are the same engines seen powering Honda City sedan. In Mobilio, these deliver fuel efficiency of 17.9 kmpl and 24.2 kmpl respectively. The petrol powertrain is capable of 117 bhp peak power and 145 Nm peak torque while the diesel engine belts out 98 bhp peak power and 200 Nm peak torque.
Measuring 4,390 mm in length, 1,680 mm in width, 1,610 mm in height and sitting on a wheelbase of 2,650 mm, the soon to be launched Honda Mobilio will be ideally suited for a perfect family car.
