The Honda Navi two wheeler crossover which debuted at the Auto Expo has received a strong response form the customers so far. A mix of scooter and a motorcycle, the Navi targets urban youngsters.
In order to celebrate the success, Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India have launched two new special edition of Navi. These new Editions are Honda Navi Adventure Edition and Honda Navi Chrome Edition.
What is New
Basically the same scooter underneath, the new Navi editions will add the style quotient as well as showcase consumers how versatile the new Honda two wheeler can be. As the name suggests, the Navi Adventure Edition comes with underbody guard, visor, seat cover, headlight protector, rear grip, knuckle guard set. The Adventure kit will cost you INR 8,525 and is offered only with the black colour trim.
Speaking about the Chrome Edition, this one will cost you INR 5,065. The chrome kit will allow you to get your Navi styled with new headlight protector, rear grip, luggage box, side lower cover, underbody guard, headlight cover.
Price & Engine
Priced attractively at INR 39,700 (Ex-showroom, Delhi), the Navi aims to take advantage of the booming automatic two wheeler market without repelling the motorcycle fans. The youthful runabout is powered by a 110 cc air-cooled 4-stroke engine that is lifted from the Active 3G. The HET (Honda Eco Technology) motor is tuned to produce 7.83 hp and 8.96 Nm of torque. The motor is mated to a CVT.
Due to its hybrid (scooter + motorcycle) architecture, the place where a conventional motorcycle engine will usually be is vacant and Honda has cleverly exploited it to offer storage solutions (available as a part of wide range accessories). The Honda Navi is the Japanese two wheeler giant’s first product to be fully developed by the Indian subsidiary. Deliveries are slated to commence by April 2016.
